Hey, Yehudis Devora here. You may know me as the woman behind the lens, but what you may not know is that I never wished nor planned to work a day in my life! The truth is, though, that I actually do not! Ever since my husband got me my Canon Rebel T3i close to a decade ago, I continue to discover the artist in me which thrives on each snap of the journey I call YORAgraphy.

From my small bedroom- cluttered with fuzzy blankets and teddy bears, to the deserts of southern Utah- where I met my professional mentor, my camera and I have ventured to create a new standard in baby photography. Photography is infinite and as an artist, I remain passionate and open to learning new ideas. As I advise the next generation of budding professionals, I remind them that in order to see life in their art- they need to see art in their life. Throughout the journey, I endeavour to seize those fleeting moments of life that are so truly and deeply beautiful. Because those are the moments you will wish to relive time and again. As a mother, I know all too well how fast the time flies. It’s an honor being entrusted with portraying your baby’s unique glow in a timeless masterpiece, to be treasured for years to come. ”

Each morning, as sunlight streams through the windows, my hands crave the warm snuggle of a precious newborn. When baby arrives, the world stops spinning. The clock stops ticking. The phone stops buzzing. The white noise muffles out the outside, and inside, the magic unfolds. The little angelic face becomes big in my room as we gently swaddle your love in a cozy layette. For many moms and dads, this will be the first peaceful day you experience together with your new bundle. It’s a special time for you to sit back and relax, as you indulge in the moment. There is no need to bring any toys, clothes, or snacks to my studio. You and your sweetie pie are all we want. I’ll never forget the new mom who whispered to me, “You made me love my baby more!”

I am not afraid to mix both natural and studio lighting in my quest to create genuine, yet sharp images. In my light and airy studio, I like to keep things simple. I favor muted colors and soft, handmade props. Your child is my focus. Your baby is perfect. The twinkle in his eye and the softness of her cheeks are of the many details I try to highlight in your photos. I believe true art is pure and real. Day in and day out, each client continues to captivate me as I seek to bring to light an image as unique as he is. It’s why I always say; “I don’t take the picture, the picture takes me.” It’s wonderful to fill my days doing what I love for who you love.
